Mangalore: The CITU staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioners office in Mangalore on September 20, Friday demanding solution to the longstanding problems of the working force.
Hundreds of protestors also took out a jatha from the Jyothi Circle to the DC office. B Madhava, CITU Central Committee leader who addressed the agitators warned of a severe protest if the government did not respond to the demands. He said the working class was confronted with a number of problems which have not seen solution since years.
Ramesh Kumar of Beedi Workers Association, Sunil Kumar of Autorickshaw Drivers and Owners Association, Balaji Shekhar, Mahesh, Ravikala and several others were present
