Mangalore: District’s 8th Chutuku Sahitya Sammelana and state level poetry recitation was inaugurated at Sri Mangaladevi Kala Mantapa of the Mangalaldevi temple, here on Saturday by chairman of the Karavali group of Institutions, Ganesh Raso.
In his inaugural address he said “Through literature it is possible for a literate to love the society along with loving himself.”
He also said that the brief form of literature or the Chutuku Sahitya is like the pickle to add taste to the meal. This will not only adds variety to the literature but also creates new attraction for the younger generation towards the literature.
Speaking on the occasion minister for health UT Khader said “In the past, revolutions have occurred through literature and if it is to be used in the right manner, then it has the power to bring citizens together and thus build the nation.”
An office bearer of the Karnataka State Chutuku Sahitya Parishad MG Arus, District president Ira Nemu Poojari, B Purandar Bhat and other office bearers were present at the occasion.
