Chembarika Qazi had committed suicide: CBI report

Kasargod : The CBI  has submitted its  report on the Mangalore-Chembarika Qazi CM Abdulla Maulavi death case, stating that the Qazi was not murdered but  had committed suicide.

The CBI report said the Qazi who was suffering from various ailments had cleared his vehicle loan well before his death. A day prior to his death he had been to the place where his father’s tomb lay and had offered prayers there, the report said adding some such instances reveal that he  had committed suicide.

It may be mentioned here that the Khazi was found dead on the Chembarika shores on February 15, 2010 under mysterious circumstances. Following widespread protests demanding a CBI probe, the government had handed over the case to the CBI.
But organizations like the SKSSF are not ready to accept the CBI report which they say was unjustifiable. The SKSSF  also suspected a ploy behind the same
