Mangalore :The Common Entrance Test (CET) began from May 1, 2014 in the state. In DK exams are being conducted on May 1 and May 2 in which 10976 students will be writing the exam. In the district there are total of 21 exam centers – In Mangalore 10, moodubidri 6 Puttur 3 and belthangady 2.












CET is held to test the eligibility of the candidates seeking admissions to various professional undergraduate courses as listed below:

Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy, and Yoga (ISM and H)
Engineering/ Technology (BE/ B. Tech)
Architecture (B. Arch)
BSc in Agriculture, Forestry, Sericulture, Agri-Biotech, Horticulture, Home Science
Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry
BTech in Food Tech, Dairy Technology, Fisheries Science, Food Science and Technology, Ag Marketing and Co-operation and Agricultural Engineering
Exam details:
The question papers are of (Objective) Multiple Choice type. Each question will carry one mark each. All the questions are compulsory and there is no negative marking. In case the candidate marks two answers for the same question, no marks will be awarded for that particular question.
The exam will be conducted in four sessions, one for each subject. The initial 10 minutes in each session will be allotted for the candidate to write/ shade the particulars such as Name, CET Number, Version Code and Serial number of the question booklet on the OMR answer.
