CCB police arrest 2 drug peddlers; seize ganja worth Rs 3 lakhs

Mangalore: A duo was arrested by the CCB police near the Roopavani Theatre for allegedly selling drugs near the Central Market on Sunday February 9.

The arrested have been identified as 33-year-old Venkatesh, a resident of Shivanagar and 33-year-old Bablu Kahrji who hails from Odisha.

Reportedly the police have seized three kgs of Ganja which is approximately worth Rs 3Lakhs. It is said that the duo was selling 5grams of Ganja for   Rs100.Moreover, they were supplying ganja to students from around the locality.

Valentine  D’Souza, Inspector of the CCB and   Dr Prashanth, Assistant Commissioner and Taluk Magistrate led the operation under  the direction of the Police Commissioner R  Hithendra and DCP Dr KV Jagadish. A case has been registered.
