Bantwal :  Vittal Police have arrested two persons who were found smuggling cattle in a pick-up vehicle on August 6, Tuesday afternoon.  Two cows in the vehicle too have been seized.

The arrested are Sirajuddin, a resident of Kodangai in Vittalpadnur village and Timmaiah Acharya  of Kundadka Darbe. The Vittal Police intercepted the vehicle  at a place called Okkettur when the vehicle was heading towards  Vittal.

Vittal SI Madhava Koodlu, Headconstable Radhakrishna and other personnel were part of the operation. A case has been registered in Vittal police station.
