Mangalore: In the elections of Catholic Sabha for the term of 2014-15, Flavy D’Souza was announced as the first lady to be elected president in its history of 35 years.

The 35th annual general meeting of Catholic Sabha was held on May 11 at Bishop’s House here. Nigel Pereira presided over the meeting.
Other elected office-bearers were Valarian D’Souza – president designate, Anil Lobo – vice-president, Victor Vas – secretary general , Walter Monis – joint secretary, and Julia Crasta – treasurer, Lancy Pinto – joint treasurer.
Fr J B Crasta, spiritual director, and past presidents Gerald D’Costa and L J Fernandes were present. The election process was conductd by Lancy D’Cunha, past president and NVP of All India Catholic Union.
