Mangaluru: Naresh Shenoy, prime accused in RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case is in news again with a case being registered against him for assaulting and issuing life threat to a person on March 14.
In his complaint, Bharat Kamath has alleged that Naresh Shenoy had called asking to meet him near the Canara High School at Dongerkeri. When Bharath went to the designated place Naresh is said to have verbally abused him as well as assaulted him for refusing to withdraw a complaint filed against Sri Samyameendra Swamiji. Further it is mentioned that Naresh issued a life threat to the complainant.
It is gathered that Shenoy was offended that Bharath had on March 9 filed a case against Swamiji in Bunder station. When Shenoy pressurised the complainant to withdraw the case, he refused, which may have irked Shenoy.
