Bengaluru: Close on the heels of senior leader SM Krishna announcing his decision to join the BJP, the state government has withdrawn his personal security guard from duty. With this, it is said that the veteran leader is seen without a gunman who remained guarding him over several years.
As per sources, Krishna has had Ramalinge Gowda guarding him over the last 20 years and now with Krishna bidding adieu to the Congress, the guard has been called back by the government arguing that since Gowda is a CAR (North Division) staff he must return there and that the central government can now take care of Krishna’s security!
The state government has been criticised by many for this move that has been billed off as petty.
