Bantwal:A woman sustained serious injuries while her husband escaped with minor injuries when their car overturned and was hit by a lorry from the rear at BC Road on September 28, Sunday evening.
It is learnt, the mishap took place when the driver Sanjeeva Shetty lost control over his car. The car was heading towards BC Road from Kaikamba when Shetty applied sudden brake to avert collision with a bike near the petrol bunk. Soon the vehicle went out of control and overturned and was hit by a lorry from behind. If Sanjeeva Shetty escaped with minor injuries, his wife Jayanthi Shetty has been admitted to hospital with critical injuries. Bantwal town police have registered a case.
