Kasaragod: A car driver conversing over mobile phone on the national highway met his tragic end after being hit by a speeding car near Poinachi petrol bunk on Thursday, July 14.

Madhusudan (32) of Kundakuhi Marunthadka is the deceased.
He was returning to Kasaragod from temple town Kollur with fellow passengers. He parked his car near the petrol bunk in Poinachi and took a stroll to have a conversation on his mobile phone. At the same time a speeding car hit him and he was dragged to couple of meters.
Though he was rushed to a nearby hospital immediately after the incident, he did not survive and eventually died due to grievous injuries.
