Mangalore:  The Second Additional District and Sessions Court has on June 18, Tuesday, granted bail to Sahaya TV cameraman Sharan who was arrested in the Morning Mist homestay attack case.

Sharan  had been named the 44th accused in the case.  Naveen Soorinje, Kasturi channel reporter who too had been arrested in connection with the case, had been granted bail by the High Court some time back. Recently, the Karnataka Cabinet also decided to withdraw criminal charges against him.

Both were arrested  as they were present at the Morning Mist homestay at Padil when the incident took place and were accused of being a party to the crime, though the argument was that they had been there only to report the incident.
