Udupi: A dead body of a bus driver was found near a bus stand under mysterious circumstances in a putrid condition on Tuesday April 1.

The deceased person has been identified as 47-year-old Shankar Yane, a resident of Udyavara.

The body was found in between two old buildings near city bus stand. The dead body was in a rotten state. The police sources have said that it is still unclear whether the death is a suicide or murder.

Accordingly it is known that Shankar last went home on Thursday March 27, after which he went missing.

Udupi police is further investigating the case.
