Ullal: A rider died on the spot in a collision between a bus and an activa scooter that took place on Tuesday afternoon at Sarkudelu near Naringana.

The deceased person is Purushotham (60) of Belma. He was working as a waiter in a wine shop.

The collision took place while he was returning to his home having his lunch at the wine shop. The bus travelling from Mangaluru to Thoudugoli rammed Purushotham’s scooter at Sarkudelu.

It is said that over speed of the bus is the reason behind this mishap. The body was dragged by the bus for a distance of ten meters after the collision.

Purushotham has left behind his wife and two daughters.   

A complaint has been registered regarding this at Konaje police station.
