Mangalore:The burglars struck a house of a certain Ramesh Patel, tobacco merchant residing at Vidhyaranya Nagar, Ullal, near here on Thursday September 19 at about 2.00pm.

On the basis of a complaint lodged by Ramesh, a Rado wrist watch, 10 sovereign pounds of gold jewellery, Rs 25,000 cash altogether worth Rs 10 lac are burgled, complained Ramesh Patel to Ullal police.

Ramesh has been living in that house since the past 40 years and it was the first such burglary has taken place.  The house is not equipped with CCTV.

Ullal police registered a case and working on the bits of footages from CCTV of neighbours house.
