Brinda Karat calls BJP, Congress are in ‘unholy alliance’

Mangalore: CPI (M) politburo Brinda Karat criticized BJP and Congress calling parties are in an ‘unholy alliance’, she said this in an election meeting on Tuesday, April 8.

Claiming that duo parties’ manifesto falls on the segment of fundamental issues, she added, “We are fighting this election on the challenges puts forth by the UPA government.”

Slamming FDI issue against both the parties, she said, “The BJP manifesto has FDI in every sector expect retail, wherein the Congress had FDI in every sector, but shockingly both the parties have included FDI in agriculture as well.”

Questioning, what will be the state of the farmer of India? , she said, “Under the NDA rule as well as UPA  more than two lakh farmers had committed suicide, but this ‘shameless’ parties still claim for FDI.”

Moreover, she disparaged Modi and asserts that RSS is his creation wherein he has been enforcing communal ways.

Further, she left no stone unturned to slam President Pranab Mukherjee for his tax policies, which created havoc, where country was bound to pay the tax.

She also spotlighted recent incidents such as Muzaffarnagar attack, Bellary mining case, where she stated that politics has been criminalized today.

Moreover, Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate K Yadav Shetty and other members such as GN Najraj, K Shankar Rao, Harish Alva JD (U), K laxmi and J Balak Shetty were present.
