Boy dies of electrocution at Harekala

Ullal : Seven year old Rizwan  lost his life  due to electrocution when he  unknowingly touched a live wire which was lying on the ground.  The tragic incident took place  near the Kharekala Khandige DYFI building in Pavoor Village on Thursday June 19 morning.

The deceased boy was the son of Abdul Hameed-Tahira couple and a second standard student of Pavoor Higher Primary School.

It has been learnt that the boy who was on way to a nearby shop to get milk, saw the electric wire and had touched it  in order to push it aside.

A case has been registered in Konaje police station.

Zilla Panchayat Member NS Kareem who has blamed   the MESCOM for the mishap, alleged that the MESCOM was not responding to complaints of locals of snapped electric cables due to strong winds. He has also demanded compensation to the family of the boy.
