Mangalore : The body of a newborn male child was found in a river at Talapady on July 11, Wednesday morning.
Local residents were the first to see the dead body of the child floating in the river. The TP members later informed the police who retrieved the body and shifted it to Wenlock for a post-mortem.
In all probability the baby was abandoned by its mother soon after it arrived on this earth.
