Mangalore:BJP leaders and workers of the district are elated over the party nominating Gujarat CM Narendra Modi as its Prime Ministerial candidate. On September 14, Saturday, party leaders and workers gathered in large numbers in front of the  party office in Mangalore and rejoiced by distributing sweets and bursting fire crackers.

District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak who addressed party men on the occasion said  the Congress government had  only contributed various problems to the nation and added the BJP has nominated Modi as its PM candidate to ensure that the people of the  country did not suffer.

MLC Monappa Bhandari also spoke on the occasion.
