Ullal :  K Jayaram Shetty, former MLA of Ullal has said that the Gujarat CM Narendra Modi who was once a tea seller to eke out a living should be the prime minister of the nation if democratic values have to flourish in the nation.

He was participating in a protest organised by the BJP Yuva Morcha of Mangalore Assembly constituency unit at Tokkottu Junction on January 20, Monday condemning the offensive remarks made against Modi by former union minister Manishanker Aiyer.

Shetty was also critical of local MLA as well as Health Minister UT Khader and said he has done nothing for the constituency.
