Mangalore: Agitating against   Union Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar, the District unit of Bharatiya Janata Party along with the Mangalore South Vidhan Sabha Constituency unit of the party staged a protest on Saturday January 18, in front of the DC office.

The agitators  criticized Aiyar for contemptuous remarks made against Narendra Modi. The attack has come just a day after Aiyar whipped up a storm with his controversial ‘tea-seller’ jibe at BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

They also burnt the effigy of Mani Shankar Aiyar.

BJP member Ravishankar Mijar, Mangalore South Vidhan Sabha Constituency unit general secretary Vedavyas Kamath, City unit president Srikar Prabhu, corporators Naveenchandra, Roopa D.Bangera and others were present
