BJP Core Committee meet discuses vital issues in DK, Udupi

Mangalore :The BJP Core Committee meeting was held at the District BJP office  here on Saturday July 5 under the leadership of MPs of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi and in the presence of State BJP Vice President Banu Prakash.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Shobha Karandlaje said the main problems of the coastal districts including the problems of areca growers, fishermen, the sea erosion and incomplete NH works came up for discussion. Even the Kasturi Rangan report, Railway Development and CRZ issues were discussed, she said adding  after a comprehensive study of the problems, the Centre would be requested to solve the same.

Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said  in a democracy one must respect the sentiments of the people and act accordingly. It has been decided to  bring about projects aimed at improving basic amenities and help in ensuring all-round development of the district, he further added. An Action Plan will soon be ready, Nalin said.

Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLC and Chief Whip of State Legislative Council, Pratap Simha Nayak, District BJP President, Kota Srinivas Poojary, former minister and other party leaders were present.
