Mangalore : Mangalore Bishop Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza laid the foundation for the new building of Milagres Degree College in the city on Tuesday July 15.














Speaking after blessing the occasion, the Bishop said the Milagres institutions have helped in spreading the light of knowledge to thousands and thousands of students. He added that the new building is being constructed to meet the increasing demand.
Recalling the history of the institutions he said what began as an elementary school decades ago, has now emerged as a pioneering educational institution which focuses on academic excellence and also produces good citizens.
The new building will come up at an estimated cost of Rs 10 crores and is expected to be completed in the next 15 months.

Valerian D’Souza, Parish Priest of Milagres Church and administrator of Milagres Institutions, Fr Francis Xavier Gomes, Principal and campus in charge, Ivan D’Souza, MLC and Vice President of Milagres Church, Vinayaraj and Ranganath Kini, Corporators, Fr G W Vas, Fr Sunil, Fr Santosh Praveen Saldanha of Saldanha Associates, John Monteiro Savil Mascarenhas and several others were present.
