Mangaluru: Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates will be distribute various types of help in the form of medical help including scholarships worth Rs 15.69 lakh at Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra, Kudroli on Sunday, August 14, said former president of Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates Jitendra Suvarna.
Speaking at the Press Club in the city on Friday, Suvarna said that 22 achievers will be felicitated and another 22 will be provided medical aid. “The association has distributed Rs 1.2 crore worth help to various beneficiaries since 2001. As many as 210 students from 25 departments will be presented scholarships this year,” he said.

“The applications for scholarships are verified by the members of Sri Guru Charitable Trust verify every application by visiting their houses, “he added.

He further informed that president of Billawa Maha Mandal Jaya C Suvarna, former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, MLC Kota Srinivasa Poojary and others will take part in the programme.

Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates office bearers Sudhakar Poojary and Vasanth Thumbay and others were present.
