Beary’s Cultural Forum to present scholarship to 600 students

Mangaluru: Beary’s Cultural Forum (BCF) will present scholarships to 600 economically backward pre university college students, sewing machines to economically backward women and wheel-chairs to physically challenged people from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts at Loyola Hall on Sunday, August 14.

Speaking to media persons at Pres Club in the city on Friday, President BCF, M E Moolur, said that scholarship, wheelchairs and sewing machines distribution will be inaugurated by Chief Adviser of BCF and Managing Director of Zain international hotels, Zupharulla Khan. He also informed that district in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai, fisheries minister Pramod Madhwaraj, food and civil supplies minister U T Khader, chief whip of legislative council, Ivan D’souza, MLA Moideen Bava and others will be a part of the programme.

“A career symposium will be held by Kaup Mohammed, the dean from UAE London American City College.  It will be inaugurated by Khazi of Udupi Al Haj Ibrahim Musliyar and Mangaluru south MLA J R Lobo,” he added.

He further said that Chief of Al Muzain Company, Jubail, Saudi Arabia will be bestowed with ‘Star of Bearys 2016’ award. Nine students who have performed well in SSLC and PUC exams and an achiever in the field of sports too will be presented with a ‘BCF award’, he said.

Dr Kaup Mohammed, Chief Secretary, BCF; Patron B A Mumtaz Ali and others were present.
