Mangalore: An accident between a Maruti Omni and a bike near Gurpura National highway here claimed the life of a young bike rider on Sunday January 26.

The deceased has been identified as 26 year-old Mohammed Harris a resident of Aduru, who died on the spot whereas the Maruti Omni driver has been identified as 19-year-old Maseed who has also sustained injuries and is been treated in the hospital.

Reportedly the bike rider, Harris was travelling from Kaikamba to Aduru when he crashed into the Maruti Omni which was approaching from Mangalore to Kaikamba.

A case has been registered at Bajpe police station.
