Mangalore: With regards to the unsolved case of dacoity and murder of Bhavani in Shaktinagar Karmika colony last month, the activists of Tulunada Rakshana Vedike, on Monday December 2 staged a protest in front of the DC office.
Speaking during the protest, Yogish Kumar the president of Tulunada Rakshana Vedike said, “We have organized this protest to urge the department concerned to take the Bhavani murder case critically and arrest the culprits as soon as possible.”
Addition to it he said, “It has been learnt that a few public representatives have been intrusive in the investigation procedure and thus the case is getting delayed. The residents of Shaktinagar and surrounding areas are living in fear ever since this incident. Drug peddlers have also increased in these localities, causing further anxiety among the residents.”
“It has been very upsetting to know that no association has come forward to fight for justice in regards to this case, if this case is not solved at the earliest, all the units of Tulunada Rakshana Vedike will join hands and hold a massive protest across the district in the coming days,” he notified.
M G Hegde, chief spokesperson of Tulunada Rakshana Vedike said, “This case has remained unsolved even after 20 days of the incident. The police have taken many people for questioning, but the actual culprit has not yet been caught wherein the police department seems to be pressurized.”
