Bhajrangdal protests against Bangla immigrants

Mangalore: The Bhajrangdal organised an agitation against the illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in front of the DC office on Tuesday February 25, wherein  they raised the demand to expatriate the immigrants.

The agitation was organised as part of a state -wide protest along with the Hindu Jagarana Vedike demanding the Government to initiate stringent action against illegal immigrants from Bangladesh who, they argue,  are greatest threat to national security.

Addressing the agitators, Jagadish Shenava, Working President of district unit of  VHP said, “There are more than 3 crore immigrants in India. We have been protesting against them and will continue to do so.” “ Bangladesh is one of the poorest countries and these people are residing in India with the intention of making money. But, that does not mean that they can take away the right of the Indians,” he added.

Jagadish Shenava also said that as per few media reports, it has been learnt that the  Central Government is planning to  schemes for the welfare of the Bangladeshis in the country. “ We are strictly against this and will continue to condemn it until the government revokes its decision,” he said.

The protestors urged the government to take immediate measures like adhering to the Supreme Court judgement regarding the banishment of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, identification of D-voters, to take proper action against them and also to ensure the security of life and property of the Hindu people of Bangladesh by putting diplomatic pressure on the country.
