Mangalore: A man was stabbed to death at Polali Kalpane Road in the early hours of   Friday March 21.

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Rajesh who was an auto rickshaw driver by profession and a resident of Shivaji Nagar at Padua. Rajesh is known to be a member of Bhajrangdal.

It is learnt that at around 6.30 am four men on two bikes approached Rajesh and stabbed him with a knife. Though the  locals rushed Rajesh to a local hospital,  he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

The incident has led to a bundh in the surrounding areas. Rajesh is survived by his wife and two sons.

Police reached the spot and are investigating. Further details are awaited.
