Bantwal: In connection with the recent vandalism at the Brahmarakootlu Toll Plaza, main accused Hasainar and another four accused have been arrested by the Bantwal police. The number of accused is now 5. Circle inspector Manjayya identified the accused as Salam, Sharif, Hasainarand, Sameer.

Salam and Sharif were caught near the Kaikamba bus stand on Sunday. Hasainar and Sameer were arrested on monday morning at BC road railway station. Another accused Abubakkar was arrested two days ago.
A group of 30 persons attacked five toll booth personnel and damaged two toll booths at Brahmarakutlu on Saturday.
The unruly mob damaged boom barriers, closed circuit cameras, computers, servers and other equipment. The mob also took away Rs. 1 lakh in cash. The loss caused by the unruly group was about Rs. 3 lakhs.
Congress leaders in the press meet had complained about the failure of police to arrest the accused though there was cctv footage.
Bantwal circle inspector Rajashekhar was suspended for his failure to maintain law and order.
The Current circle inspector Manjayya and his team carried the operation.
