Bangera to persuade govt to entrust Sowjanya case to CBI

Belthangady: K Vasanth Bangera, MLA of Belthangady  has urged the  government to cancel the CID  report on Sowjanya case and order a CBI probe into the same.

Presiding over the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations  held in front of the Taluk office here on November 1, Friday, he said  he would camp in Bangalore and pressurize the government to entrust the case to CBI.

He alleged that the erstwhile SI Yogish Kumar at the instigation of the then SP Abhishek Goel had  misled the investigation into t he case. Even CID SP Srigowri without conducting any probe had told the media that the previous report was right, even before submitting the report to the government.

The Belthangady Tahsildar  CR Srinivas hoisted the national flag. Town Panchayat President Mustarzan Mehboob,  B Madhukar Mallya, Kannada Lecturer at Sacred Heart PU College, Madanthyar and others were present.
