Bale Telipale and APD join hands to spread the message of waste segregation

Mangaluru: Bale Telipale, the Tulu comedy sensation amongst the Tuluvas the world over, is all set to enter its fourth season with a bang. But this time with a difference – in the next installment of the show, the comedy will be greased the vital social message waste segregation.
Shastavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Trust – the producers of Bale Telipaale – has come forward to join hands with Anti-Pollution Drive (APD) Foundation in their campaign to educate and sensitize the public on the importance of waste segregation thru the high TRP show.

Swachha Mangaluru is a campaign launched by the Mangaluru City Corporation. On behalf of the city corporation, APD has been engaged by Antony Waste Handling Cell Pvt. Ltd., (AWHCPL) to conduct Information–Education–Communication (IEC) programs on waste segregation for Mangaluru City. APD has charted out and commenced various programs in order to effectively reach out to the public with the awareness messages.

The tie-up was officially announced during the auditions of Bale Telipale held at Shastavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple, Badaga Yedapadavu, Mijar, Mangalore on Thursday, 15th September 2016. Sri Rajashekarananda Swamij of Sri Vajradehi Mutt, Gurpur released the publicity pamphlets created by APD Foundation to spread the message of waste segregation.

“The development and cleanliness of Mangaluru is my utmost intention and I am happy to join hands with a social cause to reach out to our viewers with a message that will help our city grow sustainably,” says Vijaynath Vittal Shetty, President of Shastavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Trust.

This is yet another strategic initiative by APD to partner with large stakeholders in order to reach out to society. “Entities that command great public attention are excellent vehicles for communicating social messages and discharging social responsibility,” says Abdullah A. Rehman, APD Founder, “I am glad that we are working with Bale Telipale, which has viewership across 177 countries. Showcasing the social messages in such a platform will definitely help us to reach our target of achieving 30% of segregation in the first year.”

Programme Anchor Naveen Shetty, Arjun Rai of APD Foundation, Rakshith Shetty of Antony Waste Handling, Dr Shivasharan, Director of NammaTV, Manav Shetty and Kantappa Shetty of Shastavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Bhajana Mandali were also present on the occasion.
