Kasargod : An autorickshaw driver lost his life  after a tempo hit his three-wheeler which had overturned after  colliding with a car at Nayabazar on the National Highway at Uppala here on March 12, Wednesday morning.

The deceased autorickshaw driver is Iqbal (30). The mishap took place at around 10 am when  Iqbal was heading towards  Nayabazar in Uppala. The auto was first hit  by a car from the rear end. Soon after, a tempo heading towards Mangalore hit the autorickshaw. Iqbal who was caught inside the badly mangled autorickshaw though was taken out and rushed to the hospital, he breathed his last there.

The car however fled the scene of the accident. Police are searching for the car and its driver.
