Bantwal :In a suspected case of revenge killing, an autorickshaw driver has been found murdered at Nettarakere near Maripalla in Bantwal on Sunday August 1 mornining. The body was found in a storm water drain and the suspicion is that he was murdered on Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as Rifayi(25) from Maripalla. It is learnt that  he was the brother of one of the accused in the case of murder of Naushad of Maripalla which was reported  on June 21. Naushad was found dead near a mosque at Maripalla.

Sources said Naushad’s autorickshaw was hired by three men on Saturday night at around 7 pm. They had reportedly boarded the autorickshaw stating they wanted to go to Polali. The suspicion is that they were the killers as Rifayi as he was not seen later on. Even his mobile was switched off and finally his family had lodged a complaint of missing. His body was traced on Sunday morning. Further investigations are underway.

It may be mentioned here that as many as six persons are behind bars in the history sheeter Naushad murder case.
