Mangaluru: The 4th Additional district and Sessions court on Monday granted bail to Sushanth, who was arrested by police and booked as the second accused regarding the attack on Subash Padil at the court premises on June 4, who was being brought to court for an hearing in the homestay attack case.
Though Japan Manga, a rowdy sheeter, was the one was seen attacking Subash Patil, police had booked a case against Sushanth stating that he brought Japan Manga to the court on a two wheeler to attack Subash Padil in the court.
Sushanth’s bail application was moved in the district court where Advocate Mohan Das Rai and Advocate Naveen appeared for Sushanth and argued stating that he had no direct role in the attack and the police complaint also indicated the same.
Accepting the argument, bail was granted to Susanth in a Criminal Miscellaneous case, no. 716/2016 with the condition that Sushanth shall appear before the investigating officer whenever he is required and he shall also appear in the court on all hearings of Crime no.67/2016 pending before II JMFC. Also, Sushanth shall appear before the investigating officer on all Saturdays for the next 6 months. Violation of any condition, will automatically cancel the bail granted to him.
