Art and Photographic Exhibition inaugurated at Udupi

Udupi: “Art has the power to touch the richness of life”, said A Ishwarayya, Senior journalist and art critic after inaugurating the three day art and photographic exhibition organized at Geethanjali Sabha Bhavan, MGM College Campus by Lanchana organisation on Monday June 2.

He said that an artist has the capacity to inspire people with the power of his art; however, each artist should realize his responsibility towards the society. Every piece of art should have the capacity to inspire the viewer to the max and he should strive for it for a life time.

“Responsibility is not just in the hands of artist; community should also encourage/promote artists and their work.  An art is not generated automatically it is solely depends on the artist imagination. So to maintain the richness of our culture and artistic expressions they should be encouraged” he added.”Art also has social commitments and concern, through the imagination of an artist” he said

Almost 70 art pieces and 52 photographs were displayed on the occasion.

Artists Sachin Poojary, Ajay Rao Shilpa Acharya and Bhavyashree Acharya displayed their art of paintings. Photographers Sujith Kotian, Darshan Jatta, Shashank Shivatthaya, Tejasvi Acharya exhibited their photographs on the occasion.

The exhibition included all forms of art like canvas paintings, Madhubani paintings, acrylic paintings, oil paintings, craft works etc.
