Puttur: In an APMC meeting held on May 9, under the leadership of the President of APMC Krishna Shetty Kadaba it was decided that the district APMC will initiate e-trading system, the first of kind, to make things easier.
All the necessary provision having been made, the system is likely to be in place within the next few days, asserted the President of APMC.
“With the introduction of this technology, the buyers and sellers will be brought together through an electronic trading platform and network to create virtual market places,” said Krishna Shetty.
The other major decision taken during the meet included charging Re 1 as market fee for every Rs 100 trade on fruits, flowers and vegetables in the APMC yard.
Karunakar Gowda Eliya, Vice-President of APMC, Seetaram Gowda, KS Ranganath, Gurunath Gowda and Triveni Parwodi, members were present among others during the meet.
