Annual feast of Infant Jesus celebrated at Alangar

Moodbidri: The annual feast of Infant Jesus, Alangar based on the theme of ‘to build communities of love through service,’ was celebrated with great fervor.

Most Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, the Bishop of Mangalore, who presided over the Solemn Eucharistic Mass was honoured on his triple Jubilee.

Thousands of devotees were present to witness the feast mass.

Delivering his Homily, Fr Walter D’Mello, Associate Judicial Vicar of Mangalore, said that love and service of humanity goes hand in hand along with our worship to God and insisted on building communities of love, through service.

Rev Fr Paul Sequeira, Dean Moodbidri Deanery, MLA Abhaychandra Jain, ex-MLA Amarnath Shetty, Mrs. Harinakshi Suvarna, President Moodbidri Munipality, Mr P K Thomas, Municipality member, Mr Valerian Sequeira Block Congress President, Moodbidri, Shri Shri Shri Ishwar Bhat, Priests of the diocese and Religious and various Municipality councillors were present during the felicitation. Fr Basil Vas, Parish Priest and the Director of the Shrine expressed their thanks to everyone for their support.

A meal was organised for all the devotees post Eucharistic celebration.
