Mangaluru: Mangalore Catholic Cooperative (MCC) Bank Ltd held its director’s board elections, on Sunday, August 26. Team Anil Lobo won all the 13 seats (three male candidates and two Female candidates).
Anil Lobo has now been sworn-in as the new Chairman of The Mangalore Catholic Cooperative (MCC) Bank Ltd, and Jerald Jude D’Silva as Vice Chairman.
Adressing media Anil Lobo said that he is very thankful to all the shareholders of the bank who voted and supported him and worked for the campaign and election-related works.
“Now, it’s our responsibility to fulfil all of your grants and I will promise that I will work very hard to fulfil all the promises made to you all during the election campaign”, said Anil Lobo.
“As everyone was busy with the Elections, we could not help or do our bit towards the victims of the floods caused due to the downpour in Kodagu District, and on this occasion, we would like to donate Rs 25000 to Chief Minister’s distress relief funds”, added Anil Lobo.
He further added that his team consists of members experienced in all the field from the banking sector, Educational Sector, Law firm, Human rights Departments, who will work towards the betterment of the bank.
“We will soon set up the bank’s customers, counselors and veteran advisory councils, he assured and also promised that his team will take forward all the plans and programmes that the previous was looking and initiate new plans one by one.” he said.
Plans that will be initiated under Anil’s Leadership are:
- Establishment of a regional office in Udupi, planning on opening additional branches, which will provide employment opportunities for young people.
2. Improvement of banking service through the use of modern technology. Adaptation of additional ATMs.
3. Skill training, pay revision and benefits to the staff.
4. A special savings account plan for students up to eighteen years.
5. The desperation of the CSR program for community development.
Francis Coutinho, the Ex-Chairman of the bank said “I and my team have worked hard to keep the bank on a progressive path. We have a full satisfaction that we have done our best to develop this bank and have kept the vision of the bank’s founders persistent. I wish the new board will take this legacy forward and lead this bank to greater height”.
Directors of the bank Joseph Anil Patrao, Andrew D’Souza and Elroy Kiran Crasto also spoke during the occasion and assured their support for the upliftment of the bank.
