Rahul defers his flight to make way for air ambulance with heart patient

Kochi: Congress President Rahul Gandhi, who is on a tour of flood-affected areas in Kerala, deferred his flight on Tuesday, 28 August, so that an air ambulance transporting an elderly heart patient to hospital can take off early.

The Congress party chief was going from Chengannur to Alappuzha by chopper. A Women at relief camp nearby relief camp had a cardiac arrest and needed to be taken to a hospital immediately via an air ambulance to the medical college, so Rahul made way for the ambulance carrying the elderly woman,

Earlier today, At St Francis Assisi school in Athani, Gandhi addressed an audience of nearly 200 men, women and children at the who have faced the terrible consequences of the natural disaster, which claimed more than 300 lives in Kerala.

Rahul assured the flood victims that, his party will do everything possible so that they can recover from the loss they had faced due to the flood.
