Udupi: The 123rd birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar was celebrated at the various places in the district. A vehicle rally was organised to make people realize the importance of Ambedkar’s reforms in the country.





Muddu Mohan, DC said that Ambedkar always fought against the caste discrimination and practice of untouchability. Besides, the world is progressing, but the curse still exist at certain places.
Ambedkar had always given importance to social equality. Every human have the right to live. Literates and thinkers should highlight the principles of the late leader Ambedkar.
Although the government has initiated measures to develop the society, irrespective of caste, creed and religion, there are certain loopholes, in the process.
After inaugurating the rally organised by Komu Sauhrada Vedike and Karnataka State Dalit Sangharsha Samithi, Yovraj, CMC president said Ambedkar has been considered as Dalit leader but he is also the leader of our nation. His reforms are not restricted to any one caste. A book by Paniraj was also released on the occasion.
