Moodbidri : A national level photography contest was conducted as part of Alva’s Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat scheduled to be held at Moodbidri from December 19 to 22.












For the first time in the state, entries were accepted online. There were 3648 entries from four categories from across the nation. Renowned photographers S Tippeswamy from Mysore , CR Satyanarayana from Bangalore and Amachi Lakshminarayana from Sagar were the judges.
Results : Indrakumar of Bagalkote, Abhyut Ghosh of West Bengal and VKRS Sharma from Amalapura in Andhra Pradesh bagged the first three places respectively in the Cultural India Category.
In the Rural India Category, Tamma Srinivas Reddy of Vijayavada, H Satish of Bangalore and Sudhir Bhajanehatti won the first three places.
The winners in the Land Scape of India division are : 1. Dey Gargi of West Bengal. 2. Kalpana Shah of Mumbai and 3. Sudhir Saxena of Indore. Tourism Spots of India Category : 1. Avik Ghosh of Howrah 2. Ganapathi Hegde of Bangalor 3. Hariya Tilak of Mumba.
Apart from the first three prizes, ten certificates of merits were also given. The names of the winners will be published during the Alva’s Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat. Photographs of 50 great Indian photographers will be exhibited on the occasion, informed Yajna, President and Astro Mohan, Secretary of Alva’s Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat National Photography Salon.
