Moodbidri: An art Exhibition at Mijaru Alvas engineering college was inaugurated here on October 6. The two day exhibition has been organised by the visual arts department of Alvas college.

Senior artist Ganesh Somayaji after inaugurating the programme, said that a serious study on books related to painting is a must in todays world. He also said that Artists should make use of the painting competitions.

The chief guest of the programme, Trustee Vivek Alva said that art students should keep observing various developments and changes in the society and promote art.

Alvas college principal Prof Kurian presided over the function and urged to promote handicraft which is endangered.

The winners of Painting competition were given prizes.

Artist Ganesh Somayaji donated a collection of books related to painting on the occasion.

Sharath Kumar Shetty welcomed the gathering. Student Karthik rendered the vote of thanks.
