Alleging illegal cattle trafficking; Right wing outfit group thrash men

Mangalore: On the allegations of transporting illegal cattle in the city, a group of right wing outfit thrashed three men late night on Saturday August 23 at Pumpwell.

The men those were thrashed have been identified as Fayaz, Sadiq and Shoukath Ali Permannur residents of Chembugudde.

Reportedly they were transporting 13 cattle from Uppinangady towards Mangalore in a vehicle bearing Kerala registration number, when the right wing outfit group approached them.

The right wing outfit chased the vehicle forcibly pulled them out of the vehicle and bashed them. Sources said that some of them even jumped on to the vehicle and pulled the driver out, with the result that the vehicle hit a bike and came to a stop.

The police arrived and took control over the situation. The vehicle and the cattle were taken to the police station and the three men, identified as Prakash, Manoj and Shivaraj, were arrested.
Kankanady police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
