All College Student Union agitates to save Nethravathi river

Mangalore: “Dhikkara Dhikkara, Yettinahole Yojanege Dhikkara” echoed in front of the DC office on Monday March 3, during a demonstration organized by All College Student Union  in protest against the Netravathi Diversion Project.

Speaking to the media, along with protestors gathered at the venue, the All College Union state President Dinakar Shetty  said, “These projects are not made to uplift the welfare of the people but are made for the gains of the ministers.”

The All College Student Union members burnt an effigy of DV Sadananda Gowda, the former Karnataka chief minister and M Veerappa Moily, union minister. They tore their pictures, hit them with chappals and displayed their disapproval over the project.

All College Student Union President Rakshith K Poojary along with other leaders such as Abhinadha, Vikyath Poojary, Chandra Verma, Sahaj Raj, Uttam Alva, Hemraj Shetty Avinandh Anchanali and other were present.
