AKUCFHR meet at CSI Kanthi Church Hall, Jeppu

Mangalore: The first zonal level All Karnataka United Christian Forum for Human Rights Fellowship meet of Western Zone-Mangalore (AKUCFHR) was held on Wednesday, 26 June 2013 at 4:30 p.m. in CSI Kanthi Church Hall, Jeppu.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The meeting began with the prayer led by Br. Walter J. Maben, Chairman, KMN. Most Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul DSouza, Bishop of Mangalore, and the President of the AKUCFHR of Western Zone- Mangalore, welcomed the gathering.

The fellowship meeting witnessed three enriching reflections from speakers of different churches and Denominations.

Rev. Vinayalal Bangera, Chaplain for the Sea Farers, in his topic “Discipleship in the New Testament” underlined the various requirements of a disciple to undergo a tremendous transformation while following Christ.

Rev. Dr Joy Painadath, Professor at St Josephs Seminary, Jeppu dealt on the topic “How to use Scripture for daily Prayer” wherein he highlighted the importance of Scripture, approaches and formats to understand Scripture in a nut shell.

Pastor Donald Menezes, NLF, spoke passionately on the theme “Ways of evangelizing today” and requested all Christians to move forward with an unceasing zeal to spread the message of Christ.

Towards the end, Rev. Fr Ronnie Prabhu, Secretary, AKUCFHR, Karnataka Region, summarized all the topics. Rt Rev. Dr J.S. Sadananda, Bishop, CSI-KSD concluded the meeting with the Blessing.

Mr Alfred Manohar, Secretary, AKUCFHR, Western Zone-Mangalore proposed the vote of thanks.

Worship Hymns sung by the Melodious voices from the members of Kanthi Church, Choir and St Josephs Seminary, Jeppu added more prayerfulness and beauty to the fellowship meeting.

Br Vincent Pereira compered the programme. The Fellowship meet was witnessed by the priests, Religious Sisters, Seminarians, Pastors and members of different Fellowship groups. The joint efforts of the united Christians were appreciated.
