Mangalore: During a press meet on Friday March 28, the district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai said that the AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi will visit Mangalore on April 4.

Congress Lok Sabha candidate Janardhan Poojary along with several ministers, MLAs and state-level leaders are expected to participate in the public convention.

However taking on BJP candidate Ramanath Rai said that Nalin Kumar Kateel’s achievement other than utilizing MPLAD is nil and he has never spoken in the Parliament for the past five years, he alleged.

Furthermore Rai has said that he will retire from politics, if MP Nalin Kumar Kateel proves that he had spoken in the Lok Sabha during the last five years.

He also said that utilizing MPLAD fund is not a big deal as funds are released through Deputy Commissioner, every MLA and MP utilizes the funds allotted to them. However, owing to technical reasons in payment of bills, many a time full utilization of funds is not possible within five years.
