About 500 yoga enthusiasts perform Surya Namaskar at Kadri temple

Mangaluru: About 500 young and old alike enthusiastically performed Surya Namaskar at Kadri Temple premises on Sunday, February 14 to mark the 9th annual Samoohika Surya Namaskara organized by Patanjali Yoga Foundation.

President of the Mangaluru unit of the Foundation Narayana Shetty informed that Surya Namaskara is performed on the seventh day of Vasanta season, believed to be a special day of the sun. “The sun is the reason for life and is also for the functioning of earth. We will be largely benefited from him through his light,” he said.

Director of Shanthivana Trust Dr Shashikanth Jain, yoga instructors Dhananjay, Yogesh Shetty and Chandrakanth Thota were present.
