Aatidonji Dina brings alive past glory

Mangalore :Tulunad’s Aati traditions came alive at the ‘Aatidoni Dina’ programme held at the Guttumane Chavadi of Pilikula on Tuesday August 12. A spread of Aati delicacies, tantalised the taste buds of the participants. There was also an exhibition  of ancient agricultural implements used in Tulunad.

Deputy Commissioner A.B.Ibrahim who inaugurated the programme, appreciated the holding of such a programme which highlighted the culture and tradition of the land  while also enlightening the present day youth who are unaware of the significance of such practices.

Among others present on the occasion were Dr.B.A. Viveka Rai, noted scholar, Erya Lakshminarayana Alva, senior writer, Dr. K.V.Rao, Officer of Pilikula,  Vijayalakshmi Shetty, President of Taluk Women’s Federation and D.C. Chowta, a progressive farmer.
