Mangaluru: A J Hospital & Research Centre has yet another feather in its cap. A J Hospital received the much coveted quality award of India “Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Trophy” on March 16 at Mumbai from the hands of Dr Mashelkar National Research Professor, recipient of Padmabhushan, Padmavibhushan & Padmashree awards in midst of country’s top business heads and research scholars.

Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality award is constituted by Indian Merchant Chamber, one of the oldest and most reputed organization. Most of the top business companies are part of this organization. This award constituted to recognize the quality conscious organizations across Asia.

This award is selected with stringent process which is spread over 9 months, Industry leaders assessment and finally jury selects the shortlisted organization for the award. This year about 200 applications were there for this National quality award across different industries. It’s an honor that A J Hospital is recognized at national level for its commitment towards quality in health care.

A J Hospital is the first hospital in Dakshina Kannada and 5th hospital in the entire Karnataka to be awarded the “Nursing Excellence” certificate by the NABH. This is awarded looking at the quality of care given to the patients, patient safety protocols, Infection control protocols and clinical outcome.
